The Squeeze

One player opens and another calls (cold-call). It's on you with dead money in the pot, but if you call you enter a multiway pot and usually out of position — a disaster.

That's why the squeeze (a big 3-bet over both) is polarized: you re-raise your strong hands for value and some suited hands as a bluff (which take the pot down right there very often, because neither the opener nor the caller usually holds up). The rest: fold. You almost never call.
