Defending against the c-bet

The other side: when the flop gets bet at YOU. Don't over-fold or call just to call.

You called preflop, the flop comes, and the aggressor c-bets. Many people make one of two mistakes: folding almost everything (and becoming exploitable) or calling with anything (and bleeding chips). The balance is in the middle.

Three responses

✓ Consejo: Count your outs: a flush draw (9 outs) has ~36% on the flop — enough to call almost any c-bet. A low pair with nothing, often not.
⚠️ Error común: Over-folding vs c-bets makes you exploitable: your opponent will always bet knowing you give up.
💡 Clave: Vs c-bet: raise strong, call with equity (~29% vs 2/3 pot), fold the air. Don't give up and don't call everything.
